I grew up on a farm that was swallowed by one of India's largest city-Mumbai.  I remember watching Egrets scampering behind buffaloes and the odd rescue of owls from being mobbed by crows, then there were the accidental discoveries of nests. On offer were other wild creatures scorpions, snakes that we needed to be educated about. Sometime during these years along came a pair of binoculars that transformed my abilities. Enthusiasm for birdlife grew and i spent many happy hours watching them. I have spent a lot of time following the bird world visiting different environments and keeping a keen interest in migrations.

 

Though I lean towards birds but any natural history piques my curiosity. Work too keeps me in touch of the outdoor life.

 

Photography became an addition in my tools to observe and record the world around me. Growing up from point and shoots to a DSLR system has been a journey that I have thoroughly enjoyed.Today I shoot primarily with a Nikon system.
